SERGI ESTEBANELL

Sergi Estebanell has been performing for over 15 years, during which time he has focussed his exploration in the areas of street theatre, comedy and the use of unconventional spaces.

He has created, directed and acted in over 30 productions, which have toured to over 25 countries.

He is a director, producer and actor in several companies specialising in street theatre and comedy, as well as site-specific theatre and the new dramaturgies. Highlights include Wandering Orquestra, with the show of the same name; coLabse, with which he created and directed the show “Mesa para 2”; Fadunito, with which he worked on the productions “+75” and “Adopted”; and Elèctric 28, an Austrian-Catalan company specialising in site-specific theatre with their show “Entre tazas”. In all of these, he has travelled the world and acted in the most prestigious street theatre festivals worldwide.

Furthermore, he is co-founder of the company Kamchatka,a street theatre company with over 350 performances under its belt in over 27 different countries. He is the founder of Barcelona’s festival of contemporary creation Escena Poblenou, and artistic director, clown and teacher in Barcelona’s organisation of hospital clowns, Pallapupas.
